I’m Elyse. A UX Designer based in Boulder, CO.
I’m passionate about taking a holistic approach to problem-solving in order to create positive change. I’m fueled by connecting with others through shared experiences in the outdoors, and finding fresh perspectives through travel.

How did I get here?
Sometimes a tough problem requires a holistic approach. I learnt this on my way to good health after a being diagnosed with Celiac Disease as a kid. You could say this was the very first problem I ever had to solve, and one that’s an ongoing process. While it may have held me back from making any sort of progress on a basketball court, it launched me into my schooling, studying Health Promotion & Wellness, inclusive of Psychology, Addiction and Compulsive Behavior, Nutrition, Exercise Science, and Epidemiology. With a natural curiosity in art, travel, culture (and namely people), I minored in Anthropology, and dabbled in Fine Art, Communications, and Women’s Studies.
I’ve since had the pleasure of serving stewards of the outdoors and adventure-sports and fitness enthusiasts through coaching free-ride skiing, slinging coffee at my local surf shop, offering nutrition advice to cyclists and runners alike, fielding compatibility questions at a bike shop, training athletes to feel better and stronger in their own skin, and helping strength coaches leverage technology to support more athletes - to name a few!
From customer advocacy to design.
With my background in supporting and coaching others, I’m dedicated to human-centered design.
At TrainHeroic, I spent 4 years working to understand users problems, listening intently for the underlying issues, and examining their behaviors to help guide and create thoughtful solutions. It was exciting, meaningful work to be able to reach a larger audience with technology, while still nurturing health and wellbeing with a human-centered product. Most recently I worked with The Creative Alliance as a UX Designer, to bring thoughtful, accessible solutions to our clients and their customers through research, testing, and iterative design.
I’m a forever-student.
I’m constantly seeking ways to further my experience through books, mentorship, webinars, meet-ups, online courses, and freelance work. I’m grateful to have worked in environments that stoke the fire for continued education, and am looking to join a team that shares the same values of chasing progress, inclusivity, and products that serve a greater purpose.
I’m committed to ethical design and building a sustainable future.
